Montreal - Jazz Festival

The Montreal Jazz Festival has always been on my bucket list. Staying only minutes away from the central area, it was an easy walk to the main festivities. The streets were closed off, the weather was really, really hot and it was just awesome to sit at the cafes and watch the world go by whilst listening to some laid back jazz.

Street Art was prevalent around the laneways of Montreal,
adding to a colourful Jazz Festival.

There were all sorts of odds and bods around Montreal for the festival.

The architecture was at its best in the twilight and under evening lights.

The best way to get around for Mary and Adam was a tuk tuk... with Adam as the driver [although I did help out with the hills and going where we were not allowed!]

As always in Montreal, everything was in French except for our lovely Artist, Alejandro - he was Spanish from my other favourite city, Buenos Aires. We bought some paintings from him and enjoyed a break from French!

This photo of the lantern in one of the characteristic cobbled streets of Montreal is special to us as we took photos of it in January covered in ice and snow. So lovely to see it basking under warm blue skies.

Until next time, au revoir and a bientot, Montreal!
